Reading Programs starting....

The SSE Library Reading programs have started and each grade level is learning about these optional programs in their library lesson time. Students may pick up these programs in the library. 

• KN-2nd Grades: Texas 2x2 Reading Program due April 11th
• 2nd Grade Reading Program booklet: due April 11th

• 3rd-5th Grades: Texas Bluebonnet Reading Program due January 22nd
• 3rd-5th Grades: Read Across America Library Reading Program- due April 11th

• KN & 1st Grade Fall Reading Program goes home on Oct. 16th and is due back Nov. 27th

Summer Reading

Students who earned a Summer Reading Trophy from the Public Library are invited to bring their trophy on Friday, August 31st to be on the announcements @ 8:00 a.m.

Hour of Code

For the last three weeks in the library, students have learned about computer coding. It was so fun watching the students collaborate and problem solve with others. There are so many great websites and apps out there for coding.  
Here is what each grade level worked on:

Schlitterbahn Reading Program

Yipee!!  The Schlitterbahn Reading Program is going home on December 4th and is due February 23rd.  Students can earn a FREE ticket to Schlitterbahn in Galveston for the summer by reading 10 or more hours.  Students will need to fill out the reading log as they read and turn in to their classroom teacher when they have completed the program.
